2/21/2020 Newsletter

Hello everybody and thank you for your continued support for our journey into the world of CBD! We have seen so many people find benefits from these amazing products, and strive to make sure you only receive the best there is to offer.

Doctor's visits

There is going to be a couple changes made to our scheduling going forward, which may or may not have an impact on you. We recently changed our business hours from 11-7, to 10-6. Hopefully this will allow anyone who needs to pick up their CBD earlier in the day a chance to make it in to see us. Other than that we are also going to be hosting a SECOND doctor day each week. We will now be having the doctor in on Tuesday and Saturday. Appointments will be scheduled between 12 & 4 PM, but we are also open for walk-ins. We believe this will give people a better chance to make it here so they can receive their medical marijuana cards! If you'd like to schedule an appointment with us make sure to contact us over phone: (734) 879-0970, or on social media. We will also be offering follow-up appointments, this is a great opportunity to put everything together. Another reason for follow-up visits is to go over any potential medication changes. Many times, what led to a hospitalization or ED visit is a new medication, usually prescribed by a regular outpatient provider.

Why get a card?

Yes, we have already been hearing horror stories of these new shops running out of their supply and this is for a couple reasons. They were not expecting such a high demand for product and seems as if they jumped the gun on the release of recreational. Some of the licensed facilities may need longer to get their full process in motion so they can reach the demand. It is required that medical patients have proper access to their medicine over recreational, meaning that the main focus is still on medical patients. Not only will you be assured that the medicine will be there and ready for you, you know it is safe and tested.

There have been reported wait times of up to 3 hours just to get into the recreational stores to take a look at what they offer. These wait times have a possibility to decrease eventually, but with the demand for recreational at the moment it doesn't seem soon. Medical patients will not experience these wait times, and more often will be helped right away by somehow who is knowledgable about the benefits of Cannabis. With a medical card you will get a much more pleasant experience, with a lower wait time and also possibly more educational than going to a recreational store. With your medical card you have access to experienced people who can help you find a proper health routine for whatever your condition is.

Recreational marijuana will also be taxed by the state, where-as they will not be taxing medical cannabis. If you are in frequent need of cannabis, this can also be a motivating factor to receive a medical marijuana card. After a month or two of visits to a medical dispensary you will have made your money back which you spent to get your medical card. Not being taxed to receive your medicine is a huge benefit, as well as the legal protections that come with having your card.
